EKO Files Paralympic Sexual Abuse Case

EKO Law and co-counsel Salazo Lampert & Wilson have filed a complaint alleging a decorated Paralympic swimmer raped and abused an intellectually impaired teammate, Parker Egbert, while the two trained at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

The complaint claims the organizations entrusted with the protection of Paralympic athletes, U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee and U.S. Center for SafeSport, negligently allowed the alleged abuser, Robert Griswold, to room with and serve as a de facto chaperone for Egbert, despite Griswold's history of alleged abuse.

The Washington Post and New York Times both covered the complaint days after it was filed in federal court in Colorado.

The case is Egbert v. Griswold, Case No. 1:22-cv-02943, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
